Usually by the time I hear the gurgle its too late, even if I am filling at a slow speed for the last few gallons that I have estimated it will take. I just looked into my fill tube and there is no red insert inside. Jon

I had this same charger in a champion and I was able to hook the purple wire coming out of the charger to the gas tank and charge trolling motor batteries with the main motor running. Confirmed with the charge indicator lights on the charger coming on. I think the instructions for the unit were pretty good, and you can download them from the website. The boat I had just used a standard fuel gauge, not smartcraft. Hope that helps might be worth a try before you pull all that wire through.Jon

I had the same brake problem. Mine did not ruin the wheel, but did break the disc. How often do you guys check the caliper to make sure its tight? Thanks for the reminder I will go check mine now!Jon

I have an 2007 Puma. Same problem. I leave that compartment for whoever is riding with me. I really dont deal with it myself but if definitely does not make accessing tackle in there easy. I wish that hing was just moved over 4 inches. That being said I do love the Puma storage.

I am a big fan of the DT 6 crankbait. I can tell you if your only fishing this bait ” as fast as the bait will allow” your cranking right past a lot of fish. Its a good pre spawn bait and I fish it when a lot of others are fishing rip baits. Try reeling it as slow as you can stand. The new colors look cool to me but I have not seen any in person yet. I like watching Ike! And Im always glad to see him in a Cat!

I would have to say NO the blade is not worth it. If your just getting the 8 foot why not get the cheaper one? I went with the PRO 2. I talked to Rich at Hydrilla gear and he said the motor on the Pro 2/blade is a little quieter then the sportsmen. Also has the smartphone app ability that will be nice for putting it in the garage for me. I think the powder coat finish is a cleaner look next to the shiny pro XS when comparing to the sportsmen 2 flat black. I put on one pole and it does the job. Yes the boat will rotate but it is still held in place in a pretty good current. Mounting one pump to the seat pole seemed to be the easiest way. 2 might be nice but I have other stuff to spend my money on!Jon

Yes you could add another pole later. The new poles have wireless controls that sync similar to your garage door opener. The controls are able to control two poles if thats what ya have.
