I have an 06 Sabre I tow with a Toyota Tacome 4 x 4 with V6. The truck has just over 100,000 miles on it with an automatic transmission. It does OK and stops fine with the trailer brakes. BassCat is the only boat company that I know of that puts brakes on their 18-foot boat as standard. Its a good thing, since I would have trouble stopping it without the brakes. I take it real easy pulling my boat. It lugs down pretty good pulling up a long slow hill. I only get 15 mpg pulling the boat which is probably what bigger trucks get (or better).

Ive solved this problem on my Sabre by buying a small bracket from Triton and mounting it on the top rear of my rod box. It fits perfectly. Its one of the best improvements Ive made to my boat. If I knew how to attach a photo to this, I would send you a photo. Send me your e-mail address and I will send a photo.

Weve been catch them last two weeks in one to two feet of water around grass using Baby 1-Minus and jerkbaits. Surprised us that fish were still that shallow.

I have added jelly bean pads to the back of my 06 Sabre to prevent scratching. I did it right after I bought the boat. I also added it to the nose as shown in the photos. If you would send me your e-mail address I can send you photos.

I had that problem with my sabre. I fixed it by using contact cement. I have not had a problem since, and Ive had it on the worst highway in the country — West Memphis, AR.

You might try a product called “Back to Black”. They sell it at Wal-Mart and most autoparts stores. It works great on the plastic fender skirts of my Toyota Tacoma. Makes them look like new even after they have been faded by the sun.
