Sorry forgot to tell you which post. It was about the HB 987 HB matrix 97. The 97 at the bow has less volts than the 987 at the console. You said it might be a connect behind a panel where the wires change sizes. I would like to know where this panel is. thanks for your help.

The merciry oil says synethic blend on the bottle, I assumed that the quick silver would too if it was synthetic but it does not say it. Also the mecury bottle says it provides warranty protection for mercury, this is not on the quick silver bottle. Bottom line is I assumed if one bottle said synthetic the other would too. And they both say premimum plus. Thanks for the help BCB and the boat owners are incredible.

Thanks for the replys about yhe coils will try that also I bought the boat and motor used but the motor is still under warranty. Only problem is we got hit by Ike pretty hard and the Basscat dealer moved a hundred miles away. Got to find another mercury dealer i can trust. All the dealers were hit hard, and some are still rebuilding. Again thanks to everyone for the help.
