SteveM, great looking Pantera II. WOW! I have one ordered from Sherm! It sure is tough to wait! Congratulations!!!!
I seen that boat at Sherms. It is a beauty. Enjoy your new Bass Cat!
Have a safe trip. Need some photos of that new Bass Cat when you get back home safe and sound!
Thanks so much for the information. Im sure I hit the rev limiter. I did not know it was set at 5,750, I thought it was closer to 6,000. Looks like I need to go to a 25 Fury. I will be fishing a tournament Sunday with 2 guys in the boat. I want to see how it performs then with more weight in the boat.
BCB,I understand your situation and not upset with BCB. I have had my PII and the HBs for over 3 weeks. I have had numerous calls and e-mails to HB to try to fix all these problems. I need to know the correct depth at the console when I take off on plane, run and then sit the boat down. Without knowing the correct depth it is very easy to tear something up which I do not want to do. It is my opinion the 898 unit is defect and needs to be replaced as soon as possible.I do appreciate yo forwarding my comments to a HB staff person!!! There is either an easy fix for the unit or it is defective. THANK-YOU!
Billius,Can you tell me how to go in the 898 and and change the depth to manual and what depth I should set it on? I dont understand why a 858 would read the depth correctly and the 898, which is the same exact unit only with side scan will not!!! Does not make any sense to me!Thanks!
I have a new 2011 PII. My last 3 boats were a ranger 520, a ranger 521 and a phoenix bee line 2100. The PII fishes more like a 20 than a 19 boat. The front deck is plenty wide and stable for two guys to fish on. This boat will fish shallow and handle big water. The PII will run 70 mph gps or maybe a hair more with a 200 HP. Hopefully you can tell I love this boat. I would get most of the options available such as hydraulic jack plate, dual axle trailer, grab pole and steps on trailer, good electronics, etc, etc, etc. My opinion on white hulls etc, are they are beautiful when they are clean. You have to wipe them down ever time you take them out of the water, they do show scratches etc. My new PII does NOT have any white on it. It is a beautiful boat and alot easier to keep clean than white.
I have a 2011 PII with a with a 858 up front and 898 at the back. I had some issues with the 898 on the back. I had to call Hummingbird. I had to do two software downloads and finally Sherm and Sherms Marine got it to work correctly. I would first give Hummingbird a call and tell them what is going on. I would guess you will first have to do a software download and go from there. Hummingbirds customer service is very good.
Thanks so much for replying. This is the information I was looking for!!!!
I replaced the “old” batteries this morning with Deka (sp) 31s. I fished all day. I came home and put the charger on. The same thing happened. Batteries one and three showed greeen and battery two was red (charging). BCB, I sent you an e-mail regarding this matter. If you would call me Monday, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Ill swap the leads on the trolling motor batteries and see what happens. I have a friend that is going to stop by within a day or two and he will check the batteries/charger with a voltmeter etc. Thanks for all your help!
Warranty On Mercury Motor is to Mid June, 2016.
Sale Price is $36,000.
I have a 2011 PII with a 200 XS. I started with a 24 Fury but was hitting the rev limit. I went to a 25 Fury. By myself, I have hit 72.5 mph with a medium load. I am sure I could do a little better if I tried. The hole shot is excellent with the 25 Fury. With two guys, equipment, 1/2 fuel, no water in the wells I have hit 70.0.
Reduced to $35,000.00 obo
