    Ive got an 06 Puma with a 250 HPDI with the T1 also, I cant get over 73 with it for some reason, can only get 5700 RPMs. DOG out of the hole also. Ive got a Hyd plate too. for you guys running over 80, can you explain your set up please. I have had 3, 20 footers and this one is by far slower than the others . I am running EXTREMELY light also.     I had an 01 with an xb on the back, it ran 83.2 gps consistently. 2 people still pushed 80-81. Definitely had to drive her though. no letting go of that wheel. Still wish I had it now. Boat was AWESOME!!!!!

    Go to a local marine shop who installs keel guards. I went to H&W although a Triton Dealer, he said he installs a few Keel Guards a month. He usually ends up cutting off several inches to a foot or so on each install. Ask him for a left over piece or order a 1 foot piece from Keelguard or Keel shield etc. Go home and fill the gouge with Marine Tex and after it dries put the Keel Guard on all the way up to the bow and Voila, it will never scratch the bow again all the way to the eye.

    I run a 250 pro xs on an 09 Puma as well. The prop seems to run best while running a little flat. I get out of the hole great. Trim up pretty much full, then as speed increases I have to bump the trim DOWN, and speed will actually pick up and the chine will almost go completly away. Top speed with mine has been 78.4 full. Not running like my last Cougar but ride is better and seems to handle way better.

    More than likely you have a bad seal or the cap is cracked. Just happened to 2 of my buddies boats, both running 200 EFI motors. Its just plastic and they do break. 50 bucks or so will buy you a new one. Hope this helps.

    I would pay really close attention to your plug wires. My 2014 250proxs did this with just at 10 hours on it. Larry at H20 found a plug wire that was just rubbing and was arcing to the head. You could barely see anything on the wire but it was definitely the culprit. 1 plug wire and it never missed again.

    I actually have given it to a guy in Mountain Home to see if he can get it to work on his P3. He is taking it to the manufacturer to see if it can be modified to fit. If they cant get it to work for him, Ill let you know so you can try if you want. From what I understand, It will only work as it is on the same “euro” type hull that I have on my 09 Puma.Gary
