Bass Cat Boats wrote:Setup help is simply keep the engine low. That was easy…dropped the atlas hydro plate to (3) and hole shot was fantastic, acceleration was good and top end was @ 73 w/ 2 guys and a 1/2 tackle warehouse, 3/4 tank of fuel and 2 10 blades was @ 72.7…should have more to come with little tweaking. This hull is very responsive and can turn on a dime without blowing out (trimmed down)….nice nice nice riding boat with awesome handling characteristics!!

So is this something that Cat will address with the customer on the dealer level?

Ive only had my Caracal for @ 5 weeks and I feel it is the perfect boat for me from bow to stern. I previously owned a 2006 Classic which I loved and didnt really want to sell, but had a buyer ready…Ive rode, drove and fished out of a friends cougar FTD and thought very highly of it. This winter after selling u boat I was torn between an Eyra or Caracal. A couple of visits to Sherms and sitting in the Caracal nailed it for me. Im overly impressed with the ride and handling of this BIG 19 class boat! 75 is definitely hauling in a boat this size with a 225 plus 10 blades…its a boat that once you drive it and fish it, you realize it was designed and built by bass fisherman for bass fisherman…serious rig. )))

Mostly because it takes forever to get there, hole shot is so-so with all that load, plus most of the lakes I fish around northern IN are pretty small, I feel that hole shot would benefit me greater and also plan on fishing St Clair soon and more often and a four blade is a must in my opinion for the Great Lakes. Im not complaining about the speed or anything, just wanted to know if anyone else has had some time with that new wheel before I drop some change on one… Thx Guys!

That helps a lot! Thank you! I wish BCB or atlas could help dumb it down for us…it would be really helpful if the digital gauge read in tenths…knowing where youre prop to pad height is at zero on the gauge would be the ticket !
