Yeh its going on the console. I saw another one mounted like yours! What length is the ram mount? Also where did you find the shock absorber?
Thanks Mike, what did you use for the base of the RAM mount. The others Ive seen just had U bolts and rubber. It looks like you have something other than just that? I think this is how Im gonna mount it. I really didnt want to drill into the cap of my hull like others Ive seen.
Sweet, thanks again! By the way have you seen any schedules yet?
Thanks for the info! I always thought it was just a depth issue, had no idea other factors. Now I know what to look for. This is something that should be put out there a lot more.
Thanks BCB, the problem is I didnt notice the part that says,” call to order”! Maybe I should look into glasses! I will give parts a call tomarrow, I want to build a flipping deck on my Cougar. Hopefully they can help me match my carpet .
Mike, Strike King Ice Breakers at Harrison April 1st! Strike King lures only, they are adding a grand to the pot. I figured if I start getting things together now, I should almost be ready by then!
Rick Clunn ,he has always been my favorite. In HS we had to write the usual “what I wanted to be when I grow up” and I said a Pro Bass angler. I laid out a plan on how I planned on doing this and used an article about Ricks career and how he got started as a reference. I thought that I had written a master plan and was sure of getting an A+! Instead I got a C- and a lecture about getting my head out of my rear because ” nobody makes a living bass fishing”! Granted that was over twenty years ago but every day I go to work I just thank her for the great advice! Haha
LOL! Yeh that was my limit! I really wasnt going fast but those big swells just caught me off gaurd. I should have everything put back together by the next one. My complement goes to Basscat for building a tuff boat. I cant promise I wont go all “Ike” again but I will be more careful!
Interesting I didnt catch the “other competitive activity” part on the warranty. They sure talk it up like no questions asked. My original lower never locked up so its probably worth re building. Hopefully the SEI unit gets me through the season, I can always get the old unit done over winter. Mike, Ill be at Harrison hopefully early Thursday, Im staying right in the camp ground again. I plan on heading down on the St Joe end of the lake. If I dont show up that night send out the search party! Haha
Thats probably bad news. My evinrude kinda did the same. It stuck in drive at one point. Later in the day while running fine I could here a slight knock while in gear. Turns out my gears were trashed. To have it re built is around three grand. I dont have the cash so I bought an after market complete lower from SEI. They come with a three year warranty. Mine will be here today so couldnt give a performance report yet. You might get lucky and just have a linkage problem but probably unlikely. Take the top screw(cap) off your lower. It should be located on the side of the lower near the top where it mounts up. There will also be one exactly like it located on the bottom of the lower. They are magnetic so if you have metal shavings, that could be bad. Some is normal. Next pull the lower one out and catch a little oil in a clar glass. If it seems shiny and the cap has more shavings you are most likely screwed. From there take it to a mechanic or like I did buy a manual and pull the hub. Its pretty easy and it will be obvious if it is done. Hope this helps.
mike dominick wrote:My team partner had a 99 Classic, it was a great boat, he bought it new in 2000 and kept it till 2010, he won some in it and was a threat in every tournament he fished out of it. His was a 99 optimax and always ran great. He went to a triton in 2010, his wife is telling him to get a new boat now since his success rate has gone down a bunch since the change.Got to admit, wearing my Bass Cat hat and putting a beating on him from the back of his Triton at CDA was enjoyable!
If you stick to Lowrance you can still use your current power cables, transducers and networking. You will only need to add the LSS 1 cables and transducer. I have HDS 8 on back and Elite 7 on front. The 7 screen is awesome and about the same size as the 8. The nice thing is the DI is built in so you wont go through your battery like you will running the LSS 1. The HDS units have a ton of stuff on them that you will never use on the bow so unless you are going with a 10 inch screen the extra cost of an 8 vs the elite 7 is a waste.
Interesting, BCB must of offered a single tank option? I have two tanks and its wide open to the back of my livewell and all my pumps.
Try drop shooting, it is the best way to learn and grow confidence in what you are seeing on a graph.
Thanks I have an idea what it is. Didnt know that was so controversial. Im just working on a project for my Cougar.
