also these wires are crimped so tight on the switch I am scared I will pull the wire off the lead,the switch is loose on the console,do not see any screws holding it in place.

Thanks for the advice,the only thing that still worries me is I fish by myself alot. I backed in with the rope tied to the trailer like I have always done but it slammed the bow down hard,I am lucky to still have a trolling motor bracket cause it caught the roller? this ramp was a little steeper than most,I definetly do not want to rip the trolling motor bracket off, do I need to back in really fast maybe and slam on the brakes?

I just picked up a sabre which is a tad bit lighter than the FTD. I have a Nissan Pathfinder off road edition with the towing package,270 HP, I can definetly feel it behind me compared to the 18ft boat I just sold,specially going up hill.It would help to have a longer wheelbase,I use to have a jeep and it did not tow very well,,,sorry,,,just being honest

Stabil Ethanol treatment is some good stuff,I ran it in my last boat when it came out and in my new cat.It should be 1 ounce to every 5 gallons and WalMart sells it at a good price.I will also use quickleen with it because this gas is terrible.The Stabil helps keep the corrosion from taking place and the mercury rep told me as quick as this gas breaks down dont fill your tank all the way up unless you can use it up in a few weeks. Ethanol draws moisture and some people tell you to top off your tank everytime but that is not the way to go now,,,water seperator along with the treatment is best.In Virginia all gas contains Ethanol
