When you say that it has to be the reservoir on the engine, what do you mean? I checked it, and the oil level is about 1/2″ from the top. Should it be full to the brim?

Just from my short (2 months) experience with my 01 Sabre, I can tell you that they handle quite well from 0 to top end.

For the money, the ugly Skeet Reese rods arent a bad way to go. I recently purchased one, and so far Im pleased with it. Only time will tell.

I have an 01 Sabre with the same motor, assuming you have an EFI. I bought mine last year, and the chine walk was TERRIBLE at first, and at 57-58 mph, she was almost uncontrollable. At the suggestion of some of the guys on here, I raised my motor 1/4″, and it made a significant difference in the way she handles. I also gained some speed on the top end. She still wants to walk sometimes, but slight steering wheel inputs will tame it. Good luck. Youre really gonna like the boat.

Hey Jeff – I have an 01 Sabre with a 23 Tempest Plus on a 150efi. Have you ever turned this prop on your boat? If so, could you tell much of a difference when you put the 24 on your rig?
