Fireman, what was your best speed with the 225. Hole shot acceptable. Anyone ever run a 250?

The puma ftd has a large step cooler that is well insulated. The middle seat position is also used for drinks. I find it does not hold ice as good in the heat as the step cooler. Good luck in your search. When searching used generally you might have to sacrifice some as finding everything exactly as you want can be daunting.

Yep gauage is probably the issue. If you can swing it a smartcraft gauge is worht the investment. Gives the exaxt rpms along wiht other data.

Rick, I am amazed you feel the need to explain yourself over the internet. I guess that is just how you do business but it is absolutely unheard off in almost any business. Being in business myself I understand that things change. The fact that you care so much about the brand speaks volumes to your character. I’m sure BCB will thrive under this new deal and you obviously would have it no other way. Having been a longtime champion guy I have been through those meltdowns and this is nothing like that. The puma that I bought is by far the best boat I have ever had. THe quality that I see in the boat along with the functional thought process has impressed me. I have a puma ftd with the two talons like your rig. Wiuth wells full and full fuel cell holeshot is terrible even with a 25 fury. Between 4 batteries, talons and all that weight it is no wonder. I do get some prop blow out as it breaks over. I just ease off the hot foot some and left he prop grab the water then good to go. With 1/2 fuel and wells dry hole shot is good. Might need to go down to a 24 fury for that application. I have a 27 bravo fs and had extra holes drilled in it for holeshot. It is still sluggish without all the weight but does carry the load better al all rpms except wot.

I would get a 25 T1. Ill bet you will be much happier with the holeshot. Boat will turn more rpms at wide open and speed will be similar for the load.
