Nice group of bronze bass I do agree that some oil companies have fantastic products and I am facing the same dilemma. I have one piece of advice I will pass along even though I have a feeling that Im preaching to the choir.Any time you change oil types or brands it is a good idea to flush the unit so there isnt an issue with different ingredients each company uses in their oils.In simple terms, one companies oil additives may be slightly acidic while the one your switching to is on the basic side. Mix the too and you get goo similar to the volcano science experiment you did in school. This is a bit of a simplistic view but when the oils are mixed this can happen.A quick fill and dump with the new fluid is usually all that is needed. There are some flush products out there as well. I think AMSOIL has such a product.Let me know how you make out with your research on the SHO.DwaynePractice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO

For really tough stuff, stains marks smudges road tar bird debris and even fly droppings I have found that “Mr. Cleans Magic Eraser ” works very will. Then you remove the residue with mild soap and water. Funny that I havent seen any pro with logos on their boat or shirts from ” Pledge ” :-DPractice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO

I had the same thing happen to my 987 a few years ago. It was still under warranty so the good folks at humminbird sent me a new one. I had to send in the old one then they sent me the new one. Just sold my boat (got a pantera IV) and the SI was starting to fade on the left side again. (no warranty left )Sorry that I cant offer any better advice.I would contact the the folks at Humminbird, they are very helpful.Last edited by Dwayne on May 6th, 2012, 11:33 am, edited 1 time in total.Practice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO

Sorry but I cant resist. The screw is called “Robertson” and they are usually not used in the US because its a Canadian invention. I was very pleased to see these on my Pantera as they are great to work with. You will also notice that the screwdriver are coloured for the size which makes it easier to grab the right tool.A number 2 is red while the bigger number three screwdriver has a black handle. The nice thing about Robertson screws is that theyre strong and because of the tapered head they stay on the screwdriver in almost all positions which is a great help in those hard to reach places. Thanks for putting up with my proud rambling :-DPractice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO

Been there done that. get the ski pole…. and make sure it looks into place A young kid died not long ago from the pole popping out of the seat hole and the hit the child who was skiing The pole brings the rope up out of the water and the rides gets the advantage of being pulled up and out of the water not into the water. The difference is amazing thats why the ski boats have the high mast , the higher your rope the more air you catch 🙂 When the rope is low it gets dragged into the wake which makes it very hard to tube or ski.. Have fun and remember that the max speed you want to toe your is 20 mph you May want to re adjust the weight in the boat for that , I have the potter sit upfront so we flatten out at low speeds.Practice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO

If your looking for a toe vehicle and play truck I recommend giving the ridgeline a look.Unlike the others the ridgeline is the same undercarrage and driveline from the base model to the topend Take it for a drive before you say anything And yes it will toe you BCB no problem .I just wish they would release the diesel modelPractice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO

Same issues with the through hull transducer.Im going to retire that transducer and mount one up front on the trolling motor.I dont like the fact that what I see on the front humminbird is almost 20 behind me… In deep water I run to the back of the boat to target the big fish I just seen on the front fishfinder freeks the heck out of my co-anglers :-DIll be glad when HB has a new update to fix issues the last update created. I only need to see the temp or time once on the screen not two or three places….And every time Im on a stained or debris filled lake I have to set the unit for deep salt water… X-(Practice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO

The softer the roller the more protection for the boat . Rollers are cheap and easier to replace than repairing the boat. Thats my two cents even though we dont make pennies in Canada anymorePractice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO
