I have 2015 Caracal and I also had issues loading it on the trailer. I found that if you go too deep the eye goes up over the roller, and if you arent deep enough you are 3-6 inches short. There is definitely a sweet spot you have to find on this boat to get it to load the first time without having to adjust the truck. I have one on my Yamaha SHO and it does great to protect the motor from bugs while trailering at night. It doesnt seem to show any signs of chaffing the paint as it has a very soft liner inside. I had a 25 Fury on my Caracal with the vent holes open on an SHO. With a full load it was very slow to plane and was tough to get up to 5500 RPM WOT. I just put a 25P Bravo 1XS on it last week, was told by the prop dealer that a 25P Fury is more like a 26, so I stuck with 25. I pluged 4 of the 8 holes and put the large opening plugs in 2 of the others. I have only had a chance to run it once, but the holeshot and acceleration were noticably better. I will doing some more testing later this week and if need be will change the plugs. I have the same boat, but with Yamaha 225 SHO. I changed from a 25p Fury 3 to a 4 blade Bravo 1xs 25p. Awesome improvement in holeshot and overall acceleration. I have a 2015 Caracal. I can get 16-17 in the main rod locker and there is also a rod locker next to the passenger seat that you can get 4 rods in. I keep some technique specific spinning rods in that locker as my coanglers dont tend to put rods in it. The reason I put a new cranking battery in is because I had no power to the trim. Turns out there was a bigger issue that may or may not have been the cranking battery. I didnt test the TM power earlier as those batteries were showing as charged so I assumed they were good.
