I recently found a card called an Ultra II. It looks and functions like a SD card but it also has a little hinged flap that folds over and allows it to be plugged into a USB port. Pretty cool. No SD card reader needed. It cost around $13 and has a 512MB capacity.
Truly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have wanted to buy a BassCat for years. I love the idea of a family-owned company that builds and stands behind its boats, right here in the good old USA. As far as I am concerned, there is no one else in the bass boat market that comes even close to the stature of BassCat as a company. What has stopped me from buying? Styling. Specifically, console styling. Prior to the recent re-styling, BassCat had the most unappealing console styling on the market. The consoles were bulbous, squatty, too wide, and just plain ugly. Obviously, there is no way I’m going to plop down 10s of thousands of dollars for something I feel is ugly. I was very excited when I heard that BassCat was going to re-style their consoles. And, re-style they did. However, the new design is completely overdone. Someone please tell me what the objection is to a simple, sleek, swept-back, and fast-looking design like Ranger’s? I will no doubt get flamed for posting this and I normally wouldn’t bother except that the unabashed and lavish praise that has been heaped on by posters in this thread piqued my frustration. BassCat owners may commence firing but if it were my company, I would more highly value honest feedback than the lavish praise of the loyal followers. How long did the program last?
Good news. I will get in touch with Lybacks to see when I can get up there for a demo. Thank you.

Fish Doc wrote:Macsimus—yeah, no rain but the wind wasnt shy about blowing on 3 of the days. Got to take advantage of the boats great rough water ride. I also finally see the advantage of my 52″ Minn Kota. Some of the main lake structure on those days we felt like a bobber, but the motor stayed in the water much better than my old boat with shorter shaft. Looking forward to meeting up with you on Friday, we will put the boat through the paces with you, maybe even catch some fish!!??!!Highway—I always have to pay homage to you when comments are made. If your nose itches or your ears are burning someone liked my boat colors!!!Thats the problem with fishing SD – theres no windbreak for 200 miles. Good call with the 52″ shaft. Looking forward to Friday. Since I kind of want to see how the Cougar handles in the rough stuff, I suppose it will be flat calm Friday.
Phil,I see you have a passenger grab handle below the seat. Is that an option or standard equipment?Thx
I was one of the fortunate folks to get a ride with Ivan. The wind was 15mph out of the NW, gusting 23-28. We launched in Isle Bay, SE corner of the lake. When we got out to the opening of the bay, we got to experience the results of the wind blowing and waves building across 20+ miles of lake. There were some awesome rollers out there. The Puma is truly impressive as I never got a bit of spray. Of course, this is also due to Ivans remarkable driving skills. Ivan took another fellow out after me. According to Ivan, this guy wanted to experience the Puma idling slowly in the rough stuff. Not the best time for that and they took one over the bow. Nevertheless, after they got back to the resort and loaded up the boat, Ivan still patiently answered all my questions, even though he was wet from the waist down, standing there in that NW wind with an air temp of maybe 50 degrees. Thank you sir.Good to meet you, Fuego.Last edited by Macsimus on September 23rd, 2012, 2:12 am, edited 1 time in total.

We got caught in a freak wind up on Chequamegon Bay this spring. Very scary. Got me to thinkin about a 20 footer.
