Thanks BCB for making the pictures larger. A little history about this boat….the original owner was Barbra Wetzel, she fishes the womens pro tour.

BCB – I know they are not waiting on parts because they have not even looked at the boat yet. My biggest concern is after they look at it Ill have to wait another month for the work to get done.smbass – Its parked next to IKEs boat from last season. Its for sale.

Look for the Bass Cat decal on the lower part of his hull. You will then understand what it is….. And WANT ONE Thanks!!! Yes, I want one!

I have the same problem getting on plane with my 98 Pantera 2 with a 200 Mariner. I have a 4-blade 25P trophy prop. Ive only had the boat out 4 times so far. When Im alone the holes shot is great. When I get a 2nd person in the boat it takes forever. My partner had to get stand on the front deck one time to get me on plane. My motor is set around 3 7/8″ below pad.

I know this is an old topic but I thought I would post a follow up. I was having serious problems getting on plane. Well I finally got around to changing the plugs on my motor (1998 mariner 200hp) and had a chance to get out on the water this weekend. Its like I put a new motor on the back of my boat. My holeshot was awesome!!!! I cannot believe the difference a new set of sparkplugs can make. Full tournament load and a partner that weighed close to 350lbs and the boat was jumping on plane.

Man, i feel for you. I know its an older boat but did the dealer give you any type of warranty?I know things happen, but to blow a powerhead your first time out seems a little odd. I would go back to the dealer you bought the boat from and talk to them.

I have a 98 PII with a 200 mariner with a 25 pitch Trophy plus. Has a great holeshot with a lite load, hole shot is OK with a heavy load. All the vent plugs are out.

I took my 1998 Pantera II to Franzwas when I first bought it. Joe is class act and great to deal with. The mechanic (Dave) is great too. He spent well over an hour going over the entire boat with me.It was a 3 hour drive from my house in Northern Jersey….it was well worth it.They fixed everythig that needed to be fixed and have not had a single issue with the boat.

I would have never considered getting a black boat, but after seeing the pictures on this thread black has moved up to the top of my list. Jigging – your boat, trailer and rim combo looks sweet!!!
