I have a new 06 Sabre that came with the Opti 115 on a factory installed jack plate. Not looking for max speed, just a good stable cruise of about 40-50 mph. The boat handles and rides better than any other boat I have been in: Champion, Ranger, Skeeter,… just need a little better hole shot.As I mentioned, a Laser II 22P, a slow, but barely acceptable hole shot and WOT 5300 rpms, 48 mph gps .With either of my sons (each about 220 lbs). An impossible 16 – 20 sec (or more) to plane, WOT 5200 and 45 mph gps.Vent plugs, jack plates and 4 or 5 blade props are new to me. Last boat was a 89 Hyra Sport that spent more time in the air than on the water, so never worried about a hole shot, just landing. Thanks
Tell me about it ..$$$$$ journeymen baseball players getting 2.5mil to collect pine splinters. Cant speak for the rest of you, but my wife and I wont see 30mil in our lifetime. (And breaking 1 mil in a career is a big deal in fishing) Better stop before I really start a rant … John
What did you use to cut the plastic? I tried a Sabre saw – no pun intended-and the cut would close up behind the blade because the saw blade will get hot and melt the plastic. Thanks John
6 years, $60 mil with $32 mil guaranteed. And it is not enough. Includes a skill or injury clause. The skill part of the clause means if Russell is cut because he isnt playing well enough, he still gets the $32 mil. Anybody out there have money guaranteed by your employer if you dont do your job? I dont.
Where can I get the best price on a Hambys light? Thanks, John
Thank you, will sleep a little better tonite .. sitting straight up ..
Thanks for all of the good advice ..son will be picking up some Stabil and wife now has idea for xmax present – Ward, thanks. Now I can set a reasonable schedule and discuss the situation w/MD with a little better knowledge base. John
Well, at least you werent in 1st place … Or running out of gas on the last restart at Atlanta and falling from 1st to 24th!!!
Same problem, but mine came from a slip at Clear Lake that had a loose bumper and it separated from the dock during the night. Boat sat there all night bouncing of the dock – wood and angle iron- took a thumbnail size chunk out of the bow and scratched it up pretty bad Just spent a few hours today tracking down a few glass repair places. Anybody have ballpark idea of what cost should be? Thanks, John
The chip appears to be down to a metallic looking surface(?) Last edited by SilvrTour on November 1st, 2007, 9:45 pm, edited 2 times in total.

I riveted mine in. Very easy to do and more permanent. Last edited by SilvrTour on November 13th, 2007, 1:55 am, edited 2 times in total.
Sam, Whats this talk about coach Miles going to Michigan? Something in his contract about Michigan? Or just Sat afternoon talking heads garbage? John
What model and year is your Pantera? All of the current/recent models have a “T” in the middle of the bar that is riveted down, wont turn.
Thanks .. I think Ill try a spool of Suffix and go from there. John
