we have a 08 puma not ftd with etc250 and boat came with a 26 raker2 and had it worked to hell and back cut the port hole all the way back trying to help with hole shot but was still slow but the motor will sling the ears off a 26 saw 83 with no load so we got a tempest 25 worked by mike hood in houston and a 25 fury and both props are a somewhat faster out of the hole and still are good on top end turning 6000 with a med load r looking at 80 81cooler months and in summer 78 79 out of both props. and the motor like to be low on the jackplate on ours. vary little if any chinewalk ever.
redwing boats in houston has a 06 i think 250xs not pro xs they dont sell mercery anymore so they just have it sitting on the showroom floor. we almost bought it and they probly would make you a deal on it
i wanna see his prop after that nice walk in the woods
yea with a few changes shell be ready
yea i no what u mean
Big Sam will separate the men from the boys when u leave twin dikes on a hard 30+ north wind coming down the shoot. Dropping in 5 and 6+ footer is something eles. Might give you the what am I doing thought for a few min..
Need a basscat flats boat that would out run a boca 20 with a 300 xs ha I know Rick has no interest but his got the team to pull it off
tx 76 buddy matts boat would be worth looking into i saw it when it was at bowden nice rig
most 22ft 250 hp bayboats run about 55 to 60 a few 65 and a handful hit 70 plus. and even then 9 times out of 10 you dont get to run wot. so like you said most boats have 115 to 200 is spending 5g plus to have a 250 worth it on most bay boats to hit 60 over 45 50 and burn a lot more gas. the resale on bay boats is a not really like bassboats where max hp boats sell much faster. i got the dealer meeting baycat and have changed almost everything on it. ill post a few pics when i put my last goodies on it just waiting on them to get here. but on the baycat my 250 is vary good on gas. i just want to know why the running light is on the console? is not a good place for it. witch is about the only thing i dislike about the boat.
Like irv said I would drop the motor holeshot with the fury should be great out of the hole and but has been known to chinwalk on top end. Our boat used to do what you are saying with the slipping coming upout of the hole with anyprop and we droped the motor one bolt and went from a 6 in to a 8 in bobs jack plate and it changed to hole angle of atack on the pad. Drop the motor all the way down had it does not lose bit anymore. Just start trimming motor and plate. But it still wants to be around 3.25 to 3 below pad. And if u like a 4 blade the Bravo 1 xs has been good on both my puma and baycat vary stable compared to the fury on our puma the holeshot and topend go to the fury but vary close
I can say its as realible as they come from what im told might not be the fastest but should get you home every time so thats a two thumps up
Had a 25 tempest on a 08 250 ho with L2 on a puma and was a good prop didnt chin like the 25 fury on top but the fury had a lil better holeshot getting rid of the ho today so I might be selling the 25 temp
Just droped it off to get a merc racing xs put on so its worked by mike hood in Houston and its a solid hub prop I think but Ill take a few pixWhen I get home
i have a 26 bravo 1 xs we ran for one day be for selling the etc its brand new if u want it 400 plus shiping not hub kit. im selling it to buy the 28 bravo 1 xs for the mercery
I do beleave they make a side mount for that jackplate and the blade is thiner so it has less wind drag. And has all the wireless controls so it is alot faster install. The blade is the only 10 ft model out as of now. Other then that both r good units and really come in handy alot. Now twin blades coast about a grand more or so compared to the old sig or pro powerpoles. I have twin 8 ft sig on my puma and just orderd twin 10 ft blades for my baycat so Ill have to see if those grasshopper legs are worth the added money.. And the hull of a basscat really helps with holeshot since the brakets dont hang back anuff on mine atleast. Now ur nonboater I would just say respect my stuff
