yes- it is considered an optimaxyes- keep the jackplate and motor trimmed all the way down unless in very shallow waterdepending on the trailer ramp (shallow or ?) I would trim it up enough to still pick up water and have enough thrust to force the boot up to the rollers of courseI was told to run the mercury plus oil as the manual also states the same but it is a DFI motor so I switched to the DFI and will continue to run it. the DFI oil is brown whereas the merc injector oil and the lower oil is the same color just a bit different viscosity and I want to be able to notice a difference in oil color if a problem arises. Props–I have no clue
