I can tell you it will not be enough. The boat on the trailer is right around 97 inches wide. As far as depth with the motor straight down and turned as far as it will go I am at more like 19,7 with the jackplate on a 150 pro xs with the tongue swung open. I am in my garage by literally an inch, but I am in thats all that matters right.

Fished this Sunday at Lake Geneva and had no problems, turns out like above just stepping down on the black bolt releases the pressure and it comes right up. Never had to do that on any of my minn kotas. Did I say how much I love this boat, still afraid to drive it at its limits though.

Wow,Your colors are almost identical to mine, only the second Margay I have seen with an all white top cap although mine is DC. I share all your sentiments above it is a great little boat and fishes way bigger and yes this boat really shines with the 150 proxs( I have the tempest though). Honestly I have had mine up to 64 with 2 guys and I am just not experienced enough at those speeds. Mine has performed flawlessly so far with the only exception being the center rod box latch. I am envious you are still able to get out sadly I think I am close to winterizing mine. Enjoy it.

Midnight rider,I will try and lend my opinion here as I have a DC margay and also went a different route on the color scheme. As far as the dual console is concerned I think the positives are that it makes the boat look nicer as it covers up the asymetrical rod box, I also love having the deep glove box as it is perfect for all the small stuff that seems to float around my boat. I will say that from a protection standpoint it doesnt offer much. The other issue is that it is tight in the seating area when rigging rods.I also did not like the way the color schemes looked with the center white section so we actually did the whole top cap all white which I think looks really good, I actually think it makes the boat look longer than it really is. I had a small issue on the rod box but had it fixed with a metal strike plate from basscat, I also had some water issues in the compartment when water was coming over the bow but I have fixed that as there was a gap in the fiberglass where the 2nd console met the water channel, Some silicone took care of it. Overall the boat is very comfortable to fish out of and for 1 guy would be more than enough boat.I have the 3 inch trailer with no brakes and I have a 150 proxs. I pull the boat with a v6 dodge durango crew and have had zero problems trailering without brakes, it really is a light package for a fiberglass bass rig.Honestly if you fish alone 75% of the time and want a fiberglass rig this is the perfect boat, only other boat I thought was in the same league in this class was the charger 176.Hope this helps.

HsvbcbThanks I am interested in your opinion of the version 2 on the back of the margay. I spoke with the owner of bac rac and he thought by looking at the back deck that the version 2 with the adapter plate would be best as you could utilize both rear boxes. My question for you would be looking at tha back layout of the margay do you think there is enough width on the big box to put the bac rac there? Obviously the butt end or reel ends would all be on one side, I am just worried there is not enough spread for the rods to be secure. Part of the reason this is more of a problem on our boat is we have a dual console margay so the area to the left of the passenger is tight as the rod butts are all over your feet under the second console. Thanks for your insight, I wish I could see a pic of the bac rac on a margay but so far it doesnt exist.Idea,I believe BBC sells the bac rac in their store I am wondering if someone at the factory would be able to confirm if it would work on the margay.Just a thought. As always thanks for everyones insight.

OK great thanksI will try and figure out how to test the pump then. Rich said he highly doubts its the pump as they rarely go out after one year but I will troubleshoot anyway.

Boat is a beast with the 150hp. I have a merc but I get fantastic gas mileage and use very little oil. The big difference to me is the ability to cruise between 45-55 with little effort. I very rarely open it up in the 60s but for really long runs it makes a difference. I am still impressed with how well this little boat handles, I was on Kentucky lakes main channel last week and cruising at 30 on top of the rollers we never got wet. Ideally that is not what I want to be in all the time but I was not afraid to venture out on the main channel on a 20mph wind day. Either way you are getting a fine boat. One other thing for the fellow margay owners I have a dual console and fish alot with my brother and sometimes we fish 3, I bought the bac rac version 2 and it works perfectly on the back of the margays deck. Just in case anyone was ever wondering.good luck

So just seal that gap with some silicone and call it? The gap there is small about the size of your pinky finger. I will just watch the other parts and make sure more of it does not crack off.thanks

Thanks, I did see your pictures and I prefer that look on the bow, I guess I was just worried about the weight of a 9 series unit and the factory gimbal mount. Nice looking Margay, and fish pictures.

Thanksdefinitely looks like a sturdy mount but at $350 thats like 40 percent of the cost of the graph. I looked at the balzout and it is a really cool mount I think I prefer the look of the gimbal mount though tucked lower in the well. I am hopeful that the brightness of the new helix series will eliminate the need of elevating that graph high off the bow. Like I said my only concern on the gimbal it comes with is the durability of a 9 series graph on it. I am encouraged that the stock mount has held up on Toledo.

This is interesting so on a 13 margay left in an unheated garage through the winter months in Chicago it is recommended to not fill the gas tank entirely? The last 2 winters we have done this on recommendation from our marina, how much gas should be left in the tank say from thanksgiving until end of march of course with stabilizer in it and additives in the spring?
