Thanks for the replies. Looks like I need to burn some $4 per gallon gasoline.
BCB, Thanks. I figured those long straps were there for a reason. CC
I have a 2008 Puma and ran the transducer cable last weekend for a SI unit. I pulled the driver-side chrome vent and used a fishtape to run the wire from under the dash to there. Went pretty easy to tell you the truth, but I had to get my daughter to reach in through the hole for the vent to grab the tape. My arm couldnt make the turn required. For power, I caught a wire under my dash that was powering my other depthfinder. No problems so far.
I go down there regularly and always stay at the Oso Blanco. Good parking, big rooms, and the new owner is a nice guy. The chicken fried steak referenced above is at El Pariso on the edge of town toward Laredo. As good as the fishing is, I still think the lure of that cheesy chicken fried is just as tempting.
You are correct.
Most places that sell the fluid will also sell the fitting and tubing. I think I actually ordered mine from Teleflex for around $10.
Here is what I found online: http://www.jamestowndistr…/show_product.do?pid=8462
Got mine yesterday.
I have a 27P Tempest that I had custom worked. I have put less than two hours on the prop since getting it back from the custom shop. The prop has never been damaged. It is a 10 out of 10. I am carrying it as a spare, but I would be willing to part with it. Should scream. PM me if youre interested.
Pull the four screws under the head, and then remove the top of the motor with the indicator. Line up your arrow with the prop, and then gently replace the top and screws. It will fix it until it gets out of whack again. If you turn it too many times by hand without disassembling the top, you will strip the plastic gears, and it will never stay straight. When you pull the top, you will be able to see how the alignment gears work. There are some adjustments that can be made, and you can even bend a few brackets to make it stay straight longer. BUT, this will be a constant battle. After you do it the first time, you will be able to realign in less than a minute.
Was thinking about moving my batteries and putting the trolling motor batteries behind the drivers seat to better balance my boat. So how hard is it for me to get the trays up off the floor? 2008 Puma To answer the question that I know is coming, I want to move the batteries because my boat lists (leans) heavily to the passenger side.
Check the clearance on your garage doors if you run it all the way up. My engine would hit my raised garage doors if I ran the plate all the way to the top.
+1 on sounds like the symptoms of a bad coil. My 2008 250 Pro-XS has been down for a week waiting on a new coil. I am scared to death to make a 20-mile run in my boat because of these coil problems.
I am crazy about boat maintainence, and I used Bass Boat Saver until I tried Bow to Stern. It is a much better product that is designed to do more than just clean the hull. Also, you only have to use it every fourth trip or so. In between BTS coats, I wipe down with a mixture of vinegar and water. If you contact BTS, they will sometimes send you a small sample. Just an FYI. I have no ties to either group. I am simply a guy that is psycho about keeping my boat looking nice. http://bowtosternprotectant.com/home/
Yes, I removed the caps/spacers. I have the black two part trays. Wouldnt sit down flat. The Sears battery flares about 1/2 from the bottom.
