Speaking of wind gust – I was able to fish w a buddy at Ky Lake yesterday who has a FX 21 , really wasnt sure what i was in for in that boat but it being a 21fter ,i figured wed be somewhat safe . We were idling out and he told me wed be ok just hang on,i thought to myself as we got closer to the river and seeing the rollers , i was like what the heck ! We took off got alittle wet and then he told me hang on , that boat got up on those waves like it was smooth as a babies ass . We rode those waves like it was nothing in that FX 21 ,when we came to our first stop all i could say to myself is Wow !! What a ride in those waves ,smooth as silk . The gust yesterday were rough while we fished and drove from spot to spot. Dont take wrong but if their customer service and warrenty was better ,well anyway. I dont understand what those boys see up there on that lake w their Rangers , evertime id hear a boat coming or going it was a Ranger and it was plowing and was taking a beating . I was fooled by the end of the day and i told my buddy that i was very impressed w his FX21 and 250 SHO the way it handled and rode alot better than my Cougar in the rough water ,and he replied yeah but the customer service isnt as good as yours as what i hear. All in all it was a good day on Ky Lake considering the conditions we had around 26lbs and some change in 5 fish, and yeah the wind blew also !Last edited by Deep Structure on March 7th, 2011, 8:06 am, edited 1 time in total.

@steveM – Just trying to add to some boat sales it sounds like .Alittle more for alittle less is always great for the customer and when they can see the product also at the dealership.

Yeah , fun and games imRick James ,but dont bring the kids into any jokes between men . Looks like you have to time on your hands with the pics posted above . Looks like the kite string comment kinda got to ya alittle . Have a good rest of the year fishing imRick James just make sure you dont get caught and can pass those polygraphs bragging so much. Dont you worry about KY Lake ,cause id hate to take your 5000 $ in a boat race even with you haven a head start in those 3-4 footers . Id give you a chance to win it back in alittle one on one trnament while your up there.

Tr – Browns Creek is set up perfect for deep water action / they should be all over a Carolina rig rt now on all those humps b4 you get to the bridge in the back. A big spook , and swim a worm with 1/4 – 3/8 ounce wt around those humps also. You should have a ball ………have fun !

Never structure scanned @ 80 mph ,maybe im gonna learn something here. I bet there gonna tell me those green blobs on my HDS are going to be the color pink w purple pokie dots @ 80mph and thats the color of the school of bass at that speed, and those arches on the graph are the other boats that are eating my wake . J/K with ya ,thats great if you like going 80mph in a boat ,not me. Im not a speed freak by any means , but hope you enjoy your new ride ,its a good looking boat. I hope you get 82-85mph out of her , have fun

Jig Man – You had to be throwing those SKs on 6-8 lb line because those humps are 6-9ft on top during summer pool in the mouth of Dryden and sitting on the inside of the 2nd bouy throwing towards the mouth . Barkley was still up some last week above summer pool and inside that 2nd bouy are where the tightest lines would be . As far as Mc Nabb you were fishing the two on the left that is attached to the bank with 19-22 ft of water around it sitting on the break . The one on the right when you come in is where you probably caught some on the jig cause it is not attached to the bank at all and you could sit out alittle deeper and fish that football head down from that 9-11 ft to 19-22ft. Your jig fish came deeper off the drop and your active fish were up schooling and chasing is what im guessing. Electronics is the key because they are not everywhere youd think they would be rt now . Some are out and some are on the way out and a few still hanging around on the flats in the back for some topwater action in the morning. Jig Man you sure you werent catching them off the rip-rap back in EDDY CREEK or the small hump rt up from the marina on the left close to the bank………
