thanks for the reply DSkaggs.I had the impeller and lower unit oil replaced about 2 weeks ago.I spoke to a local merc mechanic who thought the under cowling oil res might be a little low causing a one beep scenario.Im going to check that out today.He also said could be trash in stats not allowing them to open.soorry BCB about posting this in the 4 sale page, please move it to the other forum if you can.

Not sure about the fit…I think $700.00 is a great deal. I paid $1500.00 for mine new, (898 unit, GPS puck, mount, xducer, wiring) and another $200.00 for the mapping SD card.The only down side for buying used that I can comment on is the warranty.My keypad had issues and I sent my unit back twice to get it replaced.From what I understand the warranty is not transferrable when sold.Its a great unit!!!Last edited by LedzepP4 on January 7th, 2013, 3:10 pm, edited 1 time in total.

waknbass15-Ive had the same issue you speak of.I purchased a 2006 P4 in August of 2012, drivers side carpet on the front end of the fender had about a 6 inch section near the top that was unglued and unraveling.I used a bit of DAP contact glue, the type used on formica to hold down and trimmed the unraveling pieces.

Oh Boy…..Yes I do….additives… yep, all the time… what kinds? here you go…I have a 2006 Merc 200 Opti….I add all 3 merc Quicklean products when I add gasPlus Seafoam…Why?are you kidding?this boat needs to last me a looooong time, cuz. I would throw chicken bones in a corner if thats what someone suggested to keep the motor reaper from showing up.And… the opti runs great!!I fish year round in South La. so I want to believe I run the fuel out as I should…. but I still worry… Please dont crucify me on this, my brother does enough of that everytime I break out a bottle of something and pour it into the gas tank!!! HA!

I usually just read here, but Ill jump in on this one…BASS needs an entire overhaul from top to bottom.There is so much opportunity for sponsorship and technology…..Just thinking about how the last classic was covered on the internet… it was a joke..There is no good reason why the classic is not covered live, and done well.My wife and I are friends with an elite fisherman and his family and know college families who have their kids fishing..We all know of the dedication and sacrifices it takes from the fisherman to compete and there is no shortage of that.Bass fishing should be a major sport in this country, and BASS needs to step it up.Seems they could use a lesson from NASCAR on how to take the sport to the next level.The current organization is stale.
