If things dont work out for you with the 24 tempest plus ,,I would definitely be interested . I am running a 23 tempest plus on my sabre ,,5700 rpms @ 63 gps and the holeshot will ” throw your rods over your head ” ,,,,24 would be perfect…
25 seems like a lot of prop….but good holeshot …hmmmmm… Is it a 150 ? (Post said 1560) . The reason I ask is I have a Sabre w/150 opti and run 63 @ 5700 rpms…and it has great holeshot also…
My fulton winch has failed, skipping gears when pressure is applied . I do not winch but a foot at most but heavy boat I suppose . I was thinking of replacing with electric winch . My boat is a 2010 Sabre w 150 opti . Any thoughts on winches ?? Dont mean to highjack the thread is SOMATA but mine is doing same as yours ..
A friend of mine has the minnkota version with an extra long shaft 55 or 60 inches . When I first seen it on his boat (an “R” boat) , I thought it looked goofy however , after fishing with him on Kentucky lake on a real windy day , I am sold . He uses the electric anchor feature along with that extra long shaft ,we were fishing the ledges and points with no issues at all . My real problem is the mount ,seems like they could make it with a fold back mount like the mg gator mount . My two cents..
I have a 2010 sabre with no optional deck or compartment leds YET. I need the kit in the catalouge but i believe there is a nice thread on this somewhere already . What have you decided
Thanks for the responses , I will swap heads and see if quality improves . The quality doesnt change when tm is actuated and have the hdi mounted on the lowrancd tm mount without anything between the xducer clamp and tm- i have some 1/16 thick rubber next if head swap doesnt pan out . I appreciate the ideas and will implement this week , tightlines !
