I live over by Holly Park and went out a few night ago and ended up with 1-71/2, 1-61/2, 2 at 51/2. That was a great night. They turned on for about an hour then that was it.
Check with an uphoultry shop and they may have a better padding and can restitch it for you. Good luck

Ive fished Big Sam for the past 16 yrs and lived on it for 4 yrs and like they say, always take the waves quarter, and never in the middle of the lake if possible. Practically all the banks are clear of stumps, just stay a safe distance. Dont beach it at rattle snake because allot of boats have been swamped there. Before going out always listen to the weather prior and keep your radio on 107.3 ( Jasper ). In the summer we get evening heat storms that pop up from the south and 99% of the time it gets rough Quick, plus lightening. You can always see them coming if your watching, which you should. If you cannot make it to your ramp, hopefully you pick a ramp in a protected area, then go into a cove and wait it out. The public boat ramp on FM 255 by Humphreys Pavilion is a good one. The important thing is to act in time if you plan on making to the ramp. There have been allot of fatalities due to this. Always be smart and fish another day.
Thanks angler557. Hope the fishing is good where you are.
Dont know alot about an 04 P II but i have an 05 P II with a 200 Merc. and have been very satified with it as far as fishability, storage, speed and durability. I just bought a cougar and can till you that my P II has a hole shot as good as my cougar with a 250. The main thing is the right set up as far as prop, pitch and plugs which alot of these guys can help you with. Alot that i have learned is from these pages and its trial and error with the plugs. Ask PhilAddison and oldtimer, they can teach you alot.
Black Streak remover by 3M will pretty much do the job. Also ive had good luck with grease lightning on alot of stains on the boat. Just a food for the thought, try a bounce fabris softner sheet to wipe the stains with. Spray stain with streak remover or grease lightning and dampen softner and rub, should do you good.
Scott, Job well done. Wish i would have had a chance to meet you when i came up, but you have been a pleasure to talk with on the phone and helped me out considerablely.
Thanks for the information. Hope its as easy as a reset. Everything else on the unit ,gps, temp, etc is fine so i was thinking it might be something easy as this, ist a 08 FTD Cougar with not alot of time used and it was fine the last time out. I work in N.Y. 3wks on and 3 wks off and live on Toledo Bend so this time in im going to be on the lake everyday as all my honey dos are caught up with.
Well dont feel bad cause i would have ran accross the same problem. One question though, does it have a flat head screw or what and what is the torqe on the prop when you put it back on?
I was out there and talked to several of the guys. At one time me and my wife counted 8 boats where we were at and then one came in that had to been built are the 70s . i had the blue and silver with the red outline bolt. Me and my wife fished and got into alot of 3-4 lbers one day, then a couple of days later when the traffic calmed down i caught some bigger ones. Like you said the big ones where hard to entice. Last Monday though they turned on and came up with a 9 and about 20 2 lbers. Good to see all the cats out over here. I live across from Holly Park and saw at least 4 or 5 launch from here but never got around to talking to those guys. There was a guy in a red and black cat that fished my bulk head . Good luck and safe fishing.
Had the same problem with my lowrance, but flashing at 60. Turn your unit on and listen for the clicking sound from the transducer. If it isnt clicking then thats probably your problem. You may check and see if there is any resets for the unit also. Go to hummingbird web page to find this. Wish you good luck on the tournement.
Had 3 (port, stbd and bow) on the front of my old Pantera and loved them. Any which way you turned was easy access. Out of 9 yrs owning it, i only relaced 1.
I live on the t-bend across from Holly Park on the water and fish it reallll often, but you are right on staying between the lines. I fished the south end as a kid since 1969 to present but the central and northern end is fairlly new to me in certain areas. My best friend dad owns Newells Marina and he knows the lake inside- upside down and runs these areas like you wouldnt believe, but you know how that goes when your flying through these areas and steadly looking around for points of interest for markers for when your fishing alone. I just wanted to be able to kee the new cat from damage, i always idle through areas i dont know and sometimes just sit and watch areas i dont know for someone to come through and see how they transit the area. Thanks for the kick back and hoe to see you on the bend sometime and pass a few stories.
If you have a insection hole on the passenger side then you can open it and see the distance there which should be about the same as the rod box. You might think about rivets since rough water might back them out or woller out the holes after time. Screws will be fine but you would need to check them often, also i thought of putting light holders in there and decided to go to the inboard side cause of this, and personnally i think that rivets would be more secure than screws. BCB will tell you the exact distance and you can make your decission on it. Good luck and let us know how it works. This is just for thought and not questioning your thoughts.
