Gary Thanks for the info. I have not been able to get down since the middle of November because my son has started High School Basketball and work. I live around the 46MM and Know you live in Linn Creek area. One of these days we will try to get together and fish. Most of the time I have my son with me who is a great fisherman. If you give me a phone number i will call and check in with you. Bob rmcbride1@att.net

that is the same setup that I have. My boat starts to chine walk about 67 but I have learned to drive it to low 70s but there is more. My son has had it to 74.1 GPS. That appears to be about as good as its going to get, and that is fine with me. It is really nice and easy to drive about 65. I got mine in Aug 07 and love it.

If leaving your boat on a lift for the winter, make sure your bilge is dry. You dont want a couple of inches of water in there to freeze and crack a transducer. The same applys to your livewell. Make sure it drains fully.

I have looked at both the base and insight mapping and dont think either are adequate. The insight is not much of an upgrade at all. Save your money and buy a lowrance or navico chip.Bob

Take it easy on the bolt. It is obviously frozen in there. My 2007 did not get opened for the first 4 years and when I tried it was a problem. I tried everything suggested here and it still would not move. Eventually tried to hard and snapped the bolt. Then I had to drill it out which was a bear, then got a new bolt and put it in. No problems since.
