will take some pics of them see what what comes up. even if they are cosmetic though, i would like to repair them, if its possible. im kind of particular about my boat. even though this one is a fixer upper, i keep it covered and out of the weather.
nice wall hangers. just got my rig fishable and cant wait to hit the water.
i just took my new to me pII out for her maiden voyage this morning and all i can say is WOW!!!! that rig blew me out of the water. i think i see now why there is such a loyalty to bass cat. before this boat i had a ranger 175vs and i thought it was pretty quick and it handled ok, but today, as i passed 62mph (and still climbing), i decided to shut it down. it handled great at that speed and the johnson 150 was an incredibly quiet, smooth running engine. at mid throttle, i gassed on it and it actually pushed me back in my seat. it was amazing. i dont know what her top speed will be yet, but im sure as i get used to running higher speeds, ill find out.
bcb…that is exactly what they did. its just sitting there, with nothing holding it on. ill check with parts tomorrow, thanks a bunch.
ok, thought there was a gentler way than that, but if thats what it takes……thanks for your advice…….again.
same boat….how ironic(lol) . dremel with a flex attatchment. sounds like a good idea, i think ill try that. if it dont work , i can always revert back to the hammer and chisel method. im kinda like you though. id really hate to break something back there especially since i just replaced both bilge pumps and three of my four aerator pumps……not exactly cheap equipment.
if its still there, should be a metal tag at the front of the trailer that has the vin (serial number) production date etc on it
a spanner wrench is a spanner wrench. as long as the forks and pins are the right size, i dont see why you coulnd use what ever you have. you might check with your local autozone or similar store and see if they rent that particular tool.
thanks for the input guys. based on what im seeing, i think ill keep it on my rig till it quits working and then upgrade to a newer model mg or mk. got some isolators that im gonna put in this weekend so i can atleast have a little protection for the bow and get the metal frame off of direct contact with the glass.
wow, thats a whole lotta water movin.
its good to have folks like that around, thats for sure. i have found that there are some very specialized tools in this industry. glad you found a solution though.
when i told the guy at parts what i ordered he asked me they packed em both in one box didnt they. i told him that they did. windshields and bearing hubs just dont mix.
you know, ive always used the stabil red in my emergency genrator fuel supply. ive seen the stabil blue. can anyone tell me what the difference is?
when i had to install a new jack plate switch on the side panel, i used my roto zip with a spiral wood cutting bit and it made very smooth chip free cuts.
aha! that explains alot. guess ill be giving parts a call on monday. got the wrong hub in the other day. thanks again bcb.
