on a cougar not a puma all the differeance in mid range an some hole shot which makes top end sound and feel better. also the pll had higher fuel economy and punch at mid range if you had a hyd jack it did let you raise it a little more but not necessary.

latest cougar deliverd 50 gals of fuel, more fishing gear than any man needs dual console two riders and a fury 26 pitch prop. Any guess? 92 to 95 degrees water temp 85. jack plate set at Bass Cat spec. no plugs in prop. 5 second hole shot, 1 mississipps 2 mississipps you get it. Top speed …….. 77mph and some changes. Not bad We did not even run the trophy, more question about the fury. oh fixed jack plate. hope this will help.

optima to the best of my knowledge has change hands and there are issue. Are we concerned abouy weight or the best battery for the job.

The 26 Tempest with the jack plate 1/8 to 1/4 should give you 2 to 3 mph but you will loss some handling.

BCB hit it on the head pressure trim rods are the small ones and the large one is tilt, on most trim units the trim rods will not retract them self and the tilt rod by lowering the engine pushs the trim rods in, got to have a differance sound.

There are two many things on an efi motor you cant check. If you have a good dealer let him save you time, there is test equipment Im sure you dont have at the house. By all means check what you can, but dont start takeing thing apart you dont know about.

If the engine reservoir is low just refilling does not solve the problem. Why did it not refill is the problem. JL was right on refilling crank engine and see if it refills. If not your reservoir are oil/air lines could have a problem. EK

The reservoir in the boat should not have preesure on it after shut down. There is a check value in the block that lets pressure off after shut down. If you have pressure oil could bypassing the oil pump rear seal, which will fill the block with oil. Due to the age I would check everything related to the oil system.

presently on current models Puma FTD, Puma, Cougar FTD, Cougar Adv, and Pll these boats are running the Fury prop. The biggest change has been hole shot and mid range punch with no loss of top end and most the time an increase on top end. The fury prop is a harder material smaller dia, with more blade surface, and lighter. We have found that if you are a little slow out of the hole the fury pitch for pitch is faster out of the hole. The fury with the large blade surface handle like a four blade but faster. Loading the boat on the trailer is even better more um for the money to get to the roller. like the hair do conan 1

If you have never fish an open its most likely you will have a hard time getting in. The quickest way I have found to get in is to link with a co-angler. Still might not work. Good luck

I think everyone had a good show never as good as you would like it to be. To know the real numbers it will take weeks to close all the deals in work. Im going out on a limb here but I think yamaha beeps when—– water in fuel, low oil, over heat , and over rev. They dont have a change in beeps like mercury. As always hook up the computer. You can check your fuel filter, drain and flush your vst tank, and check the oil resoviour for correct oil level. Motors are getting smart

110-135 psi Variance between cylinders should not exceed 15 PSI.

55lbs torque with washers installed correctly and I have not seen a plastic torque wrench?
