i had been looking for a good used cat or champ for a while and finally found a beuty 94 p2. my buddy who swears by his mosquito boats said “you bought a bass cat? why?” well he got soaking wet in 18-24 inchers last week. guess what? im still dry AND all my fillings are still in my teeth. and i bet the newer models are even better. cant wait for BO to fix this economy so i can get a new one. guess ill have to wait till 2012

I had to replace the hose, tank, internal fuel lines and carb seals on the pontoon last week. the mechanic siad it was the ethanol that was left since thanksgiving. 5 months. we usually dont use the pontoon after thanksgiving but start when the bream start bedding in april. $800. thanks federal government for telling us what is BEST for us. drill in anwar and we wont need foreign oil. wish i had researched this ethanol before the bill came. thanks for the post.

oxy clean- will kill the smell, shouldnt hurt the fish if you run clean water through after. someone might know about the fisk kill part but definately kills the smell. left a fish in at night (didnt have those nice lighted BC livewells)

I have a 94 p2 w/ 200 mariner. it is way faster than i need/want to drive it (still that learning curve). I am about 200lbs and my regular fishing buddy is around 240-260. we can both be on one side or move from side to side while fishing and cant tell the difference. it fishes a little and i mean little nose up but havent had any problems pitching/flipping. it levels out some when he is on the front deck w/me. I hear the newer models ride even better. the older model has a smaller rod box. that is the only drawback in that boat and one i can deal with. other than that it is a great boat. good luck and i am sure you will enjoy either.

Merc makes a “Quickleen” that treats the gas as well as a stabilizer I use religiously now after having to replace the tank, hoses and even carb seals on the party barge. Also stabil has a new marine product that is supposed to work better for outboards. It is greenish in color where the original was red.

i mainly fish on Toledo and have been in just about every boat they make and nothing has compared to my cat in the rough stuff. i am utterly amazed at the ride. just trim it down and let her eat. if its too rough in that cat then its too bad to be on the water. the 19fters are great as we do alot of crappie fishing as well as bream in alot. i would love the 20ft cougar or puma but i cant say enough about the pantera either way you will be getting a great boat

Thanks, setup is next on my list. I have regular dual steering and I think my motor may be a little too high as on the calm water i have some torque i would like to get rid of. Havent ever had this problem as my other boats were pretty much setup kinda like driving a late model at the dirt track and now im in a cup car. Actually got the better half to go bass fishing with me monday and was trying to make the ride as smooth as possible so she would go back. nothing beats the scenery and the look on the other anglers faces than a gorgeous blonde in a bikini on your back deck. BCB should put that as an option for 2010!!!!! Thanks for your input, i am running faster at lower rpms than previous boat and i will try to lower it some more and more seat time will prob help
