Is your Jaguar still for sale?
My brother and I live in different parts of the country and seldom get to see each other, and then for just a few hours at a time. This week, for the first time since we were kids, we got to spend four glorious days together with nothing to do but fish, talk and enjoy each others company. We didnt win and we didnt care. We did make memories that we will both cherish for the rest of our lives. Its hard to believe that a fishing boat could bring us back together like this. Thanks to BCB, Sponsors, Pro Staff and all the other folks who made this such a wonderful event. Jim
I agree with Clint. Something isnt right. Im no expert but I would do some serious investigating before I sink that much coin in a new power plant.
I had an intermittent alarm and fuel warning light going off on my 200hp Opti 99 P Cl. Took it by the Merc Trailer and Danny checked it out. Turned out someone, somewhere down the line had switched the alarm wiring and what I was really getting was an engine alarm. He put the computer to it and diagnosed malfunctioning throttle position indicators. They helped me locate the parts since they didnt have them in stock. Easy fix but who would have thunk it? No telling how much pain, suffering and money it would have cost me to get that mess sorted out elsewhere. I dont know how to do it but maybe someone at BCB can let Dannys boss know that he is a Bad A$$ motor tech. Glad he was there. Cheers, Jim
BCB, Was able to test a 24 trophy and a 25 fury on my Classic loaded heavy at Fork the other day. The 24 trophy had a better hole shot than my old 25P Power Tech but ran the RPMs high (5800) and only 61 MPH GPS. The 25 Fury had a bit better hole shot than the Trophy and ran the RPMs at 5500 and 66 MPH. Also Im not sure if it my imagination but it seems to drive better with less steering torque as well. Air temp was 85 degrees water about 73 degrees. Dont know if it is the perfect solution but the 25 Fury seems like an acceptable prop for this boat. Havent located a Tempest to run. Any thoughts? Thanks to Ivan for calling me back and answering the same stupid questions for what Im sure is the thousandth time. Cheers, Jim
Yea, Ill probably do that once I run it a few times and get a good feel and baseline for where I am now. Im currently 3 1/2 inches below pad on a 5 inch Pro Lift jack plate. My prop guy sez the Fury likes to be a bit deeper than the Power Tech and Trophy. Anyone run a similar setup?
I voted for Cedar Creek but if Rayburn was an option, I would change. Good times no matter what.
Nice looking boat. How many hours on the motor?
Brandon, I am running a 25p Fury. I have a 99 Classic w/ 200 Opti. I got 68.7 GPS at WOT this summer in Texas (hot) at around 5500 rpm, 3/4 fuel, just me (190#s) plus some gear. I believe the jack plate is setting at 4″ below pad. Hole shot is pretty good. Max rated rpm for the motor is 5650.Last edited by cagpaddles on November 25th, 2009, 3:08 am, edited 1 time in total.

Chris, If you are still looking, check out my 99 Pantera Cl. We may be in the same ballpark. Cheers, Jim
Thats a purty boat right there!
If you dont have index markings on your brand of plate, it might be a good idea to mark both the inner and outer plates on one side so you can measure how far you moved it and return to your starting point if necessary. You might also want to check the 4 bolts again after you run it a little. Ive had mine work loose after an adjustment.
Rockwall Marine….2 thumbs up
There are lots of good Bass Cat boats for sale on here and also on http://www.impactfishing.com. It just depends on what size, year, location and budget hes got in mind. Let me know if I can help. Cheers, Jim
