Do you have an rpm number?

At 1800 ft and hot, humid, summer weather conditions, you can loose up to 12% hp. (density altitude calculation). If relief plugs do not help you, you may need a lighter pitch. I am sure you know this but be sure you are trimmed down until getting up on plane. Good luck and let the board know your results.

You are losing 7-10 hp (3%-5%) just from the temp and rh.

Most on board chargers are set up to charge individual 12 volt batteries, regardless of their connection to the trolling motor. If you have a two bank charger, there should be four wires from the charger, two positives and two negatives. one positive and one negative should be connected to each individual battery. It does not matter if the batteries are connected in series for 24 volts to the trolling motor. Just connect a positive from bank one to the positive of battery one. Connect the negative of bank one to the negative of battery one, Connect the positive of bank two to the positive of battery two and the negative of bank two to the negative of battery two. There is no need to disconnect the series connections of the batteries because the charger does not see this interconnection for the individual banks.Make sure the two batteries are not totally dead as the on board charger will not respond properly. If this is the case, establish some sort of voltage with an individual charger then try the on board one. To charge individually, just connect the charger to the individual positive and negative of the battery. Do not worry about the interconnection of the batteries. the charger only sees the positive and negative connection of the battery it is connected to.Ensure water is at proper level and all connections are clean and tight.Good Luck and let us know how you make out. Do you really need more than nine rods on any given trip? Try some preplanning and leave your other 27 rods at home…

Its all in the air density (density altitude). With high temps and humidity you can easily loose 5%-6% horsepower with the associated loss in speed and/or hole shot. Add Altitude to the equation and this can go to 10%-15% loss of HP!Check everything as others recommend. If you find nothing wrong this can be the problem especially with the heat waves we have experienced.

Just a thought …Seeing that you are looking for performance, I would think that the additional weight of the hydraulic system will hurt performance. Plus, usually once you find the sweet spot there is little need to change the adjustment.Just thinking out loud… Good Luck with pursuing your goals with your new boat!

Does your boat insurance cover the collision of the trailer? Call and ask your carrier….

HOman…The data you are asking Bass Cat for would cost a fortune and just increase the price of these already expensive rigs! Then … the data would be questioned and doubted anyway.I would rather get the data from real life users (customers), get comments and recommendations from BCB and others like we do now.I do not want to see anything that increases prices and or puts the boat business in more jeopardy than they already are especially when it is done for just conversation and debate.Even if you know all the numbers and data … then what … the rig you buy will have enough variables of weight, gear, weather, driver, moon phase etc that you will make your own numbers! Please … no more price increases… I want a new boat!

RandyTaylor wrote:I replaced a bad TM battery on a 4 bank charger and wander the same thing. Question is – in a series for TM the 3rd battery has the negative lead going to the posittive terminal and vice-versa for the positive. I am checking the charger and it is still showing red/charging after all the others go green. Is that normal? Or is it frying my battery by leaving it plugged in?It is hard to understand how you are describing your circuit. The positive and negative connections from your charger should go to the positive and negative connections of each individual battery. The interconnections of the batteries themselves has no effect on the charger.I am almost thinking that you have the connections reversed and the red light is telling you that…but I cannot be sure by your description.Good Luck

Dont complicate the issue more than it is… from each bank of the charger there are two wires, positive and negative, connect each to the individual batteries (positive to positive, negative to negative)…. thats it!If this does not solve you issues, there is something wrong! Please post your findings and results..Good luckLast edited by falcooon1 on September 13th, 2010, 1:37 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Just thinking outside the box… maybe your problem is weight distribution and balance especially left/right balance…I would think that your experience with the “T” boat would make you an excellent chine driver…Also the solution for T” boats was usually raising the plate….
